As We Please
As We Please is a user experience and participatory research project where I develop social media pages and programs that invite their users to fact-check the authenticity of the news or data that has been shared with them. This participatory socio-technical system is designed to create an appeal for the practice of fact-checking and self-research before coming to a conclusion on a topic that is shared on social media websites. It is also designed to enhance the data literacy and media literacy of the American people. Fact-checking misinformation is an essential skill in today's information age, as it helps individuals make informed decisions and combat the spread of false or misleading information. This project mobilizes a framework that develops independent fact-checking skills among people and raises awareness around the importance of media literacy and fact-checking when consuming news media and mass media. The final phase of the project's execution enabled me to invite 50 people to engage with it and to move forward in its drive to develop media literacy frameworks among people.
