Make Your Future: GSSD on Campus

The Make Your Future: GSSD on Campus event is a collaboration between the Fashioning Circuits Research Collective at UTD and the Girl Scouting in the School Day (GSSD) Leadership Program to help under-resourced middle schools in the Dallas Independent School District and East Texas region to demystify college and make students feel at home at the university setting. The event includes building tours of the Edith O'Donnell Arts and Technology building that introduces the various research collectives and creative labs on site. The day-long program also includes three workshops - a Zine Making Workshop, an Arduino Project, and a Blackout Poetry Session.
